Re: Warning! China PSB using Twitter for ESL/TEFL China Teacher Recruiting Sting Operation
They have been doing these sting operations since 2014. But lately they have gotten a lot more agrressive with the social media and even putting fake job ads on Craiglist, The Beijinger, Echinacities, Sinocities, and even ESLCafe. The ads are for high-paying fake jobs that do not exist. When teacher...

Foreign ESL Teachers in Beijing With No Z Visa's being arrested in PSB Sting
For anyone working in China without a Z Visa you had better avoid job ads that look too good to be true. It seems the China visa police (PSB) are posting these ads all over the place, even on Twitter, and using Facebook recommendations too. I just got my CSP newletter and saw that 29 foreign teacher...

The problem is the agents and recruiters do not explain these things to the newbies and they find out like these 49 teachers who got to spend their Christmas in a Chinese jail. http://www.globaltimes.cn/content/962377.shtml

Re: WiseWay Global Education - Legit or Another China Scam Agent?
I suspect someone new is using the old company name and possibly bought the old license from a registered agent that was real back in 2007 and probably was not around long enough to acquire a good or bad reputation. By reinstating or renewing the license, they can falsely claim a 8 year "track ...

Beware of the fake "News" about new Visa Requirements for China Internship
Scam.com and others are now reporting that the well-polished telemarketers with the private internship companies in China are claiming the laws have been changed. In fact, no changes were made since 2013 and the free internships are still the only legal ones bu they have to be pre-approved by the PS...

Re: Is Wall Street English Or China Racist - Or Both?
I think most all of China is racist. Where in China is it easy for a teacher of color to find a job? Let's be honest and civil about this. Can we really expect or compel a foreign country to have the same moral standards as ourselves. In a strange way, maybe its good not to have "political corr...

I had good employers and bad employers in China. But what really mattered most was my employment contract. Lets just say that I learned about contracts by trial and error over the last three years. I just saw these "contract tips" at an expat site and thought they are well worth sharing wi...

Ou Wen is a very experienced con artist working the South China market for many years.
