Hi, I'm Ceri ( /keri/ for those of you who don't know Welsh). I live in wonderful, windy, sunny Cadiz in the south west of Andalucia, Spain. I have two kids and work needs to fit in around having fun with them. I teach (when I can), train teachers and - mainly at the moment - write teaching materials for general English adult and teenage learners and classrooms.

My name is Olya Sergeeva. I'm an English language teacher who's very interested in language acquisition and ELT methodology (which will be evident from the title of this blog!) Apart from teaching, I'm also involved in teacher development (in the company where I work I oversee professional development of a team of language trainers, and I also recently became a CELTA trainer).

(How wrong I was... I have never stopped studying, be it formal or informal I love to study and learn new things...

While I work for International House Coimbra and have worked for various IH affiliated schools throughout my teaching career, the views on this blog are my own and do not necessarily reflect the views of my employers or the International House World Organisation, though I like to think they might agree with me every now and again.
