Any suggestions for short term internships

I'm a recently qualified TEFL teacher, since finishing my combined course I've been searching for a short term internship, between 4-6 weeks (possibly a little longer), to build on my confidence and knowledge as I'm no where near comfortable enough to jump in at the deep end and take classes, I've seen endless advertisements for 4-12 month internships but nothing on a short term basis. There was one company but they only accept CELTA and TESOL candidates, which to me makes no sense. Does anyone have any suggestions for short term internships?

The only TEFL internships that I'm aware of are run by TEFL Course providers who see it as a way to lure trainees into buying their courses.

It would be good if TEFL course providers can have its own high quality evening language schools that also provide internships to trainee teachers or for teachers who wish to return to TEFL after a long break.
If you are living in Asia or planning on travelling to Asia, perhaps you can try Destination TEFL Siem Reap - which offers a TEFL Extension program. I am not sure how good it is or rather how professional it is because I have not participated in it yet. I am only planning on joining this program in Aug 2024.

TEFL training providers should open respectable evening
geometry dash language schools where trainee teachers and instructors returning from a break can complete internships.

Please note - further to my post as above, I have now cancelled my plans with the said organisation in Asia. I am considering another TEFL organisation which may be able to assist me to further my interest in teaching English in Asia.

Further to my post above and above, I have now decided not to focus on Asia and instead am now seriously considering on starting my very own freelance online teaching business, whereby I can select keen learners from around the world to practice their English conversation skills with me. That means I will have more opportunity to teach and interact with adult learners from around the world via interesting online conversation lessons.

Congrats on becoming a TEFL teacher! Short-term internships can be tricky to find, but there are a few options you might explore. Look for volunteer teaching placements, which are often shorter in duration, especially in regions like Southeast Asia or Latin America. Websites like Workaway or Grassroots Volunteering sometimes offer short-term teaching opportunities. You can also reach out to local language schools or community centers that might welcome short-term help. If you're open to online teaching, platforms like Preply or iTalki can give you valuable experience too. Best of luck!

To be perfectly honest, I’ve never heard of internships for TEFL holders. What you’ve got is not exactly a professional teaching qualification; it’s a short introduction to basic teaching. Grab my culture based curriculum (no download, scroll down to read) and tinker with it depending on the age level, take a deep breath and jump in!

I have heard of volunteers for summer schools that occasionally crop up, but it’s doubtful anyone is going to waste time and money on a few weeks TEFL contract.

What do you think are the best opportunities for TEFL holders to gain teaching experience, considering it's not a professional qualification?
