personally, I believe we should keep screen time for young learners at an absolute minimum :-)

I teach classes of 5 year olds in big and small classes. You might find my ideas useful.

I can suggest some ESL games that might be helpful for young learners:

Simon Says: This classic game is great for practicing vocabulary and following instructions. You can use it to teach body parts, colors, and other basic vocabulary.

Memory Match: For this game, you'll need a set of flashcards with pictures and words. Lay them out face down and have students take turns flipping them over to find matching pairs.

Hangman: Hangman is a fun way to practice spelling and phonics. Write a word on the board with underscores for each letter, and have students guess letters until they can figure out the word.

Pictionary: This game is perfect for practicing vocabulary and drawing skills. Have students take turns drawing pictures of different words or concepts, and see if their classmates can guess what they're drawing.

Charades: Similar to Pictionary, but instead of drawing, students act out different words or phrases. This is a great way to practice verbs and actions.

Word Bingo: Create bingo cards with different vocabulary words and have students mark off the words as you call them out.

I Spy: This game is perfect for practicing colors and shapes. Say "I spy something blue" and have students try to guess what you're looking at.

What's Missing?: Place a group of objects on a tray and have students study them for a few seconds. Then, cover the tray and remove one of the objects. See if students can guess which one is missing.

Hot Potato: Pass a ball or stuffed animal around the room while playing music. When the music stops, whoever is holding the object has to say a word or answer a question related to your lesson.

Board Race: Divide students into teams and have them race to write words or sentences on the board. This is a great way to practice spelling and writing skills.

Story Chain: Start a story and have each student add a sentence or two before passing it on to the next person. This is a fun way to practice storytelling and sentence structure.
