Warning TEFL Teachers - ForeignHR.com is China's BIGGEST Job Scam. Beware

The Wicked Witch Of The East...

Image

Since 2006 a Chinese woman who has used five different Chinglish names has caused over 1,200 foreign teachers to be arrested, jailed for 30 days, fined 10,000rmb, and deported with a reentry ban AFTER she already made TEFL job placement fees and took various "deposits" that were never returned and then even had the nerve to "sell" release letters that the law says must be given to every employee for free when they resign, or even get fired.

You may think you don't know this woman but you know over 16 ghost companies she set up to advertise and recruit for her. There may be even be more by now since she was arrested by the PSB for the third time in 10 years, and she usually makes a bunch ho of new companies every time she gets busted. For what? Selling fake diplomas, police certificates, TEFL certificates, and putting over 2,000 foreign teacher newbies to work on a tourist, student, or business visa making them all illegal migrant workers. Those who escape her awful one-way contracts get a special surprise according to her former employee Maggie who gave a written statement to China Scam Patrol. In part it said...

"Teachers who do not renew their contracts with Rosie or make problems for her, will get arrested by the police for working illegally or using fake documents because she will secretly turn them in to the cops for the 15,000 rmb reward money. She will also sell every teacher's personal information to both the resume brokers and some identity thieves. So by the time she is finished with a foreigner, she has made over 100,000 rmb from them after the first year."

The reason this woman is extra dangerous because not many people know that all of these ghost companies post over 500 fake job ads every day, under all of the below names and at the end of the day, they all end up in her box and then she has her foreign employees give the sales pitch to all the gullible newbies who have no clue they are dealing with the oldest Chinese TEFL scammer. Only in the end when they arrive in China and discover they have been bamboozled and switched to a different job, at a different salary, and their "free furnished apartment" was "already taken" or suddenly "got a broken water pipe" or a "rat problem" will the newbie realize they were swindled. But since they don't have a Z visa they can't even call the cops!

You can read the China Scam Patrol summary about her at https://chinascampatrol.wordpress.com. At one time there were over 5,000 complaint posts about her (when she was known as Rebecca Tang - another fake name) on the Beijinger, but after she bought $50.000 of advertising on the Beijinger, all those nasty complaints were deleted by the GM Wester. This here was posted right before 1,800+ TEFL teachers signed and submitted a petition to the Justice of Minister to have her arrested. https://realscam.com/f8/rebeccas-china- ... Rosie+Tang

Although they did finally arrest her, and she plead guilty, she was released after only 6 months, and then caused all this damage in revenge: https://youtu.be/9mW9l0-ZdO0 If you have time to spare you will complaints about this woman and ALL of her unlicensed and unregistered companies (except for Foreign HR which she took over from an honest guy named Eric, and the totally corrupted the operation) going back to 2007. Here is one from 2013. http://chinafraudpatrol.blogspot.com/20 ... a-esl.html. How do I know all this stuff. My ex used to work for Eric when "Rosie" arrived on the scene and promptly began ripping-off foreigners. You have all been warned so please pass it forward.

You will see a typical contract used by Mrs. Tang in the first part of this article. That Teacher Cox fought back tooth and nail and as you can see 60% of her wages were skimmed by Tang the owner of China ESL at the time.
https://chinascampatrol.wordpress.com/2 ... principal/

Then in 2014, the CTA and CFTU, and China Scam Patrol began ringing the alarm bell, at least once a week. Here are some samples: https://chinateachersalliance.wordpress ... -teachers/

Only after the CFTU paid a reward did they find out this woman's real name and then had her arrested for the second time: https://www.opnlttr.com/letter/china-fo ... ist-rosie
This is how she got arrested when she was still living as "Rebecca" https://www.esl-jobs-forum.com/viewtopi ... er+justice

Some users here at TEFL.net caught on to her and warned people back in 2017: viewtopic.php?t=7815

Then it was discovered that "Rose" was a moderator under fictitious names on the r/Teachers r/Teaching and r/TEFL subs on reddit. https://www.reddit.com/r/tefljobs/comme ... targeting/

In 2018 this link got her arrested for the third time: https://www.reddit.com/r/TEFL_TIPS_TRAP ... hcom_gi2c/

Yet, even as you read this words, hundreds of foreigners are still falling into her big and sticky web. So for the old guy who keeps knocking scam links, I think this one case shows just how important it is that we teachers warn one another whenever we can.

The China ESL scandal was the wake up call to everyone in the TEFL industry IMO. I remember it well and just how many teachers were screaming for her head on The Beijinger.. After seeing this OP when I logged on today, I had to laugh that this woman still has the audacity to continue cheating foreigners after spending 24 months of her live behind bars for doing the very same thing! That shows just how profitable her con game has become.

I was digging around online and it looks like she hired one of those "reputation managers" to push all the horrible stuff about her to pages 7-15 of search results so nobody ever sees the carnage. I found this old invitation letter signed by "Rebecca Tang" related to that teacher named Cox and what is really interesting and typical of of all the China Ghost companies is that she used the letterhead of another company (not her own because her own companies are not registered with the government) So if anything were to happen to Cox while she was in China the "technology company" named on the letterhead would legally be responsible for Cox but they would not even know who she was!

This is why every teacher applicants should never take an illegal invitation letter - that is one that is not written on the letterhead of your REAL EMPLOYER that matches the same name and address written on your contract. This is also the reason you MUST have the name and address of your REAL EMPLOYER printed on the original hard copy of your contract. IF YOU DO NOT DO THIS IT WOULD BE VERY EASY FOR YOU TO GET CAUGHT UP IN FRAUD CHARGES, LAW SUITS, OR MORE LIKELY, ARRESTED, JAILED, FINED AND DEPORTED>

If you cannot see this immage of the invitation letter go to this link and you can see it and read it at the bottom of page 3, https://realscam.com/f8/rebeccas-china- ... Rosie+Tang

This woman must be a Chinese transgender. I mean for her to do the despicable shit I have been reading about her, she must be wearing a pair of brass balls under her skirt! (sigh)

For those who think that a picture is worth more than a thousand words, I got this in my email a few months ago and I kept it because it has some more of the names she has been using https://image.slidesharecdn.com/foreign ... 1504492990

I heard the horror stories of this woman but was told she was locked away behind bars. I guess money talks quite loud in China.

Believe it or not this Rosie woman who is also known as the "Dragon Lady" at eslcafe and Reddit makes so much money much cheating foreigners that when too many negative comments about her become public she simply buys $50,000 of advertising in exchange for having the platform editor delete all the posts that expose her. She did this at;

TheBeijinjinger

Echinacities

Sinocities

Reddit

Craigslist

That is why you should never trust any job ad you see on these publications which knowingly take ad moneys from known scam artists and apparently identity thieves too! https://chinascamwatch.wordpress.com BTW... 78,000 redditors learned about Rosie back in 2017 https://www.reddit.com/r/teaching/comme ... h=d4486b65 but when Reddit admin found out she was actually a moderator on the r/teachers sub (where she promoted herself and deleted complaints about her 12 companies (at that time) they finally removed her and roughly 20 of her sock puppet accounts used by her sales people. In the last year however, it seems they have created a handful of new accounts at both r/teaching and r/teachers and are at it again - soliciting with PM messages.

I just spent almost an hour on my break reading about the 20 year history of these TEFL predators who continue to escape detection and arrest by advertising under non-existent company names and others that have been used so long that people just assume they are legit! Ummm.... Someone needs to update all their alias names. As of now in 2021, I count 20 alias names.

Recently I came across some of their ads online and they are all exaggerated dream jobs that surely are not real. Why, because when I replied to one (just out of curiosity) the guy who called me back (Ted) told me "That job was just filled but there will be others - so send me your resume an passport scam now, and I'll call you back when we get another opening." Sure enough, two days later he called with another job nowhere near as attractive as the fake ad they used to lure people to get their resumes!

So, I did a DDG search on the company along with the key word of "Scam" and another search with "Warning" and another with the word "Beware" and over 60 results appeared. But most were not on the first three pages of search results because they obviously hired one of those "reputation managers" which pushed them down to pages 5-15 of search results. Here is some of what I found...

The China Teachers Alliance put out their very first TEFL Scam Alert on China ESL, Foreign HR, ForeignExpats and all their other aliases waaay back in 2014 !!! https://chinateachersalliance.wordpress.com/ And here is yet another expose going back to 2013: http://chinafraudpatrol.blogspot.com/20 ... a-esl.html

So they have many years experience cheating people and is without doubt, the reason they keep using different fake names to advertise so people think it is a different company!

This woman is so bold and evil. Look at how she was taking 60% from teachers without never telling them. Her contract is outrageous. Her first scam was called China ESL and it was exposed nationwide by the China Scam Patrol in a joint investigation with the CFTU. Here is some of that old history behind this professional con artist. Notice the contract she made Teacher Cox sign that took 60% of her wages!
