Wages and the cost of living in Czech Republic

Unread post by Boru500 »

Hello

I'm thinking about taking a TEFL job in Prague.

The work is around 26 hours a week with a payment of 10,000 Czech korunas before tax. Accommodation is provided and bills are paid for. We also get luncheon vouchers and get our travel expenses between classes paid for.

Can anybody say if this is a reasonable amount?

I know I will not be able to lead a lavish lifestyle teaching English in Prague. I just want to know if it's enough to live on and will give me a chance to enjoy the city's night-life and culture at the weekends, maybe even with a chance to do a little travelling.

Thanks
