Brit looking for options for first move

Unread post by where2bro »

Considered TEFL abroad over the years but never done it though i have traveled extensively. I have a degree but no TELF certs though Im thinking of doing one.

Tbh my situation is dire at home. I cant get a job of any kind. Overqualified for the low skilled jobs and to much competition for graduate jobs, with my 5+ years travel and work absence not helping the cause.

I was delivering pizzas but then had my car written off....Seems the only job I can do but cant anymore.

I know a while back people were saying Korea was goldmine for making decent money and decent life. Has it changed.

Ill be honest culture and fun are low on the requirement list atm..Im just wanting a solid job with a decent income in a decent place.

So looking for suggestions.

Thanks in advance.

Almost any degree will help you get work permits/visas abroad. That's the good news. But with no TEFL certification you'll find it difficult to get decently paid teaching positions. Get a good TEFL cert and go teach somewhere like South Korea, Japan, Middle East if you just want to make some money. Demand is very high in China but I'm not sure you'd make any money. Maybe someone else will answer on that point.
